The main difference

Both let you pick a template and produce a social post, flyer or short video in minutes. Canva is the bigger, more established product with the larger template library. Adobe Express is Adobe’s answer to it, and its main advantages are price and how well it connects to the rest of Adobe’s software.

Pricing

Based on public pricing information checked in October 2026, both have free plans. Adobe Express Premium is listed at about $9.99 a month. Canva Pro is reported at between about $15 and $18 a month for one person; sources disagree, so confirm on Canva’s site. On list price, Adobe Express is the cheaper paid plan.

Features

Canva is generally considered easier for complete beginners and offers more ready-made templates and formats. Adobe Express includes Adobe’s Firefly AI tools, Adobe Fonts and the ability to bring in Photoshop and Illustrator files, which matters if a designer on your team already works in those.

Bottom line

If you have no ties to Adobe, start with Canva’s free plan. If you already pay for Adobe software or want the lower monthly price, try Adobe Express first.
